Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose (4) from the combination valve.

  2. Object Number: 507664  Size: SH
  3. Loosen and lower AIR pump exhaust hose pinch clamp (1).

  4. Object Number: 507669  Size: SH
  5. Remove the 2 bolts (3) that attach the AIR pipe to the AIR manifold.
  6. Remove the mounting bolt that secures the combination valve to the map sensor bracket (2).
  7. Remove the AIR Combination Valve and AIR pipe as an assembly (1).

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the bolt securing AIR Combination Valve and AIR pipe assembly onto the MAP sensor bracket (2).
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the mounting bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the 2 bolts (3) that attach the AIR pipe to the AIR manifold.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the mounting bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Connect the AIR pump exhaust pipe (1) to the AIR Combination Valve.
  6. Move the AIR pump exhaust hose pinch clamp back into position.

  7. Object Number: 507543  Size: SH
  8. Connect the vacuum hose (4) to the combination valve.
