For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the key from the ignition switch.
- Move the driver seat back as far as possible to gain access to the driver side air bag yellow 2-way connector located under the driver seat.
- Connect the driver side air bag yellow 2-way connector.
- Install the CPA to the driver side air bag yellow 2-way connector.
- Connect the passenger yellow 2-way connector located to the right of the steering column.
- Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the passenger yellow 2-way connector located to the right of the steering column.
- Connect the driver yellow 2-way connector located at the base of the steering column.
- Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the driver yellow 2-way connector located at the base of the steering column.
- Install the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Install the AIR BAG fuse on the fuse block.
- Install the IP fuse block access door.
- Staying well away from both air bags, turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
- Perform the A Diagnostic System Check - SIR if the AIR BAG warning lamp does not operate as described.
Important: Perform steps 2-4 if the vehicle is equipped with a driver side air bag.
