The filter is located in the plenum under the cowl screen on the passenger side of the vehicle. The filter is designed to filter:

•	Fresh air entering the vehicle.

•	Recirculated air within the vehicle.

In addition to filtering dust particles out of the air, the filter is also designed to reduce unwanted odors that may enter into the vehicle.

The filter has a 12 months or 20,000 km (15,000 miles) change interval. The filter may require more frequent change intervals depending on driving conditions.
