Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

1. Place the turn signal switch in both the left and right hand positions.
2. Observe both turn signal indicators.

Did both turn signal indicator illuminate?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Did only one turn signal indicator illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Turn Signal Lamps Inoperative

Observe the corresponding outside turn signals of the indicator that did not illuminate.

Did the corresponding turn signal lamps illuminate?

Go to Step  5

Go to Turn Signal Lamps Inoperative - Left or Right Side

Test the affected turn signal indicator circuit for a high resistance or open. Refer to Circuit Testing or Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step  8

Go to Step  6

Inspect the affected turn signal indicator bulb and replace if needed.

Was the turn signal indicator bulb defective?

Go to Step  8

Go to Step  7

Replace the instrument panel cluste. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step  8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
