Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Connect a scan tool.
  2. While observing the status of the mode switch, press the FEIC Mode switch.

Does the FEIC Mode data change?

--

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Disconnect the DIC display switch assembly.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  4. Using a DMM, test for voltage at terminal 3 circuit 893 (PNK).

Is the measured voltage the same as the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 4

Using a DMM, test terminal 2 circuit 1550 (BLK) for an open.

Is circuit 1550 open?

Go to Step 7

  1. Using scan tool, read FEIC Reset.
  2. Using a fused 3-amp jumper wire, jumper terminals 3 and 2 of the DIC switch harness connector.

Does the FEIC Mode data change ?

Go to Step 8

Repair open or poor connection in circuit 893 (PNK).

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

Repair open or loose terminal in circuit 1550 (BLK).

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

Replace the DIC switch assembly.

Did you complete the repair and test the system?

Replace the IP cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
