Circuit Description
The Body Control Module (BCM) is connected to the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver by a communication circuit. This circuit is the Serial data link for communication between the two modules. The BCM checks each message received from the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver for validaty (Parity).
Conditions for Setting the DTC
The Body Control Module detects an invalid message (a message with a parity error).
Action Taken When the DTC Sets
The BCM stores DTC B3106 in memory.
Conditions for Clearing the DTC
A history DTC B3106 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if the condition for the malfunction is no longer present.
