Is the door lock actuator that is inoperative the driver door?

Go to Step 4

  1. Disconnect the drivers side door lock actuator motor electrical connector C2.
  2. Connect a test light between the drivers side door lock actuator motor harness connector C2 terminals A and B.
  3. Momentarily, press unlock on either door lock switch while observing the test light.

Does the test light flash once?

Are all the passenger doors inoperative?

Go to Step 6

Use a test light in order to probe between B+ and the BCM connector C4 terminal H.

Is the test light on?

--

Go to Step 14

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector C2 of the inoperative door lock actuator motor.
  3. Use a test light in order to connect between the inoperative door lock actuator motor harness connector C2 terminals A and B.
  4. While observing the test light, press lock on either door lock switch.

Does the test light flash once while pressing lock?

Replace the drivers side door lock actuator motor.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a test light between B+ and the drivers side door lock actuator motor harness connector terminal B.

Does the test light illuminate?

Connect a test light between B+ and the drivers side door lock actuator motor harness connector terminal A.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 13

Repair a poor connection or open in CKT 295.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
  2. Perform setup procedure for the new BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.

Repair a poor connection or open in CKT 694.

  1. Use a test light in order to connect by probing between the BCM connector C4 terminal H and ground.
  2. While observing the test light, press unlock momentarily on either door lock switch.

While pressing unlock, does the test light flash?

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
  2. Perform the Setup New BCM procedure. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.

Replace the door lock actuator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Actuator Replacement (Front Door) or Rear Side Door Lock Actuator Replacement (Rear Door)

  1. Use a test light in order to connect between the inoperative door lock actuator motor harness connector C2 terminal A and ground.
  2. While observing the test light, press unlock on either door lock switch.

Does the test light flash once while pressing unlock?
