Removal Procedure

    Important: Note the following locations:

       • The position of the wire harness routing.
       • The location of the tie-straps that secure the harness to the drive cable tube and the sunroof express module.

  1. Position the sunshade in the full forward position.
  2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the rear shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    4. Object Number: 647204 Size: SH
  4. Cut the nylon tie straps on the express module and the drive cable tube.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the express module.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector to the body harness located under the rear shelf.
  7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Position Encoding System Module.
  8. Remove the tape holding the wire harness to the module.
  9. Remove the wire harness from the sunroof.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 647204 Size: SH
  1. Align the wire harness to the sunroof module.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors to the Position Encoding System Module.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the body harness.
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the express module.
  5. Install new nylon tie straps to the express module and the drive cable tube.
  6. Install new tape to hold the wire harness to the module.
  7. Connect the electrical connector to the control switch.
  8. Cycle the sunroof for correct operation.
  9. Install the rear shelf. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  10. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
