Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 526899  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front seat ashtray and housing. Refer to Front Seat Ashtray and Housing Replacement .
  2. Remove the lower and upper push-in retainers from the front seat armrest base cover, using side cutters.

  3. Object Number: 526893  Size: SH
  4. Remove the front seat armrest base cover from the armrest.

  5. Object Number: 526896  Size: SH
  6. Remove the rear bolts from the front seat armrest base.

  7. Object Number: 526898  Size: SH
  8. Remove the front bolts from the front seat armrest base.

  9. Object Number: 526897  Size: SH
  10. Remove the front seat armrest from the front seat cushion frame.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 526897  Size: SH
  1. Position the armrest to the seat cushion frame.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the front seat armrest bolts (1) rear set to the armrest base.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the front seat armrest bolts (1) front set to the armrest base.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten thebolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the front seat armrest base cover to the armrest.

  8. Object Number: 527190  Size: SH
  9. Install NEW lower and upper push-in retainers to the front seat armrest base cover, pressing into place until fully seated.
  10. Install the front seat ashtray and housing. Refer to Front Seat Ashtray and Housing Replacement .
