Removal Procedure

  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Pull back rear compartment trim panel.
  3. Open the fuel filler door.

  4. Object Number: 183175  Size: SH
  5. Remove the nut from the fuel filler door actuator cable.
  6. Remove the fuel filler door actuator cable from the fuel filler pocket.

  7. Object Number: 183195  Size: SH
  8. Remove the fuel filler door actuator cable from the hole in the wheelhouse.
  9. Remove the bolt from the fuel filler actuator bracket.
  10. Remove the fuel filler actuator from the bracket.
  11. Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel filler actuator.
  12. Remove the fuel filler door actuator cable from the actuator.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 183195  Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel filler door actuator cable to the actuator.
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the fuel filler actuator.
  3. Position the fuel filler door actuator tabs through the holes in bracket on the wheelhouse.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the bolt to the fuel filler actuator bracket.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel filler door actuator bolt to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  7. Insert the fuel filler door actuator cable through the wheelhouse and fuel filler pocket until the grommet is fully seated.

  8. Object Number: 183175  Size: SH
  9. Install the nut to the fuel filler door actuator cable.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel filler door actuator nut to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  11. Close the fuel filler door.
  12. Reposition the rear compartment trim panel.
  13. Close the rear compartment.
