Rear Door Energy Absorber Pad Replacement for Buick Regal 2001

Caution: This vehicle has energy-absorbing foam blocks for side impact protection. To help avoid personal injury in a collision, foam blocks that are damaged, or removed during repairs must be replaced. Failure to replace foam blocks that are removed can violate federal law.

1. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
2. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .



3. Remove energy absorber clip.
4. Grasp the energy absorber with both hands and remove from the front door.

1. Remove the protective tape from the adhesive strip on the back side of the absorber pad.



2. Install the energy absorber pad to the front door, Pressing firmly until the energy absorber pad is fully seated.
3. Install the energy absorber clip.
4. Install the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
