Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel (IP) accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  3. Object Number: 410416  Size: SH
  4. Remove the retaining screws from the HVAC control assembly.
  5. Pull the HVAC control assembly out from the IP.

  6. Object Number: 410422  Size: SH
  7. Disconnect the electrical connectors and the vacuum harness, if equipped, from the HVAC control assembly.
  8. Remove the HVAC control assembly.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connectors and the vacuum harness, if equipped, to the HVAC control assembly.

  2. Object Number: 410416  Size: SH
  3. Install the HVAC control assembly into the IP.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the retaining screws to secure the HVAC control assembly.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the accessory trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  8. Install the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
