🢒 Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement
Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement L36
Removal Procedure
Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve electrical connector.
Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve purge pipe and vacuum supply hose.
Release the retaining tab on the EVAP canister purge mounting bracket and remove the EVAP canister purge valve.
Inspect for carbon release exiting the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to
Evaporative Emission System Cleaning
.
Installation Procedure
Install the EVAP canister purge valve onto the EVAP canister purge valve mounting bracket.
Connect the EVAP canister purge valve purge pipe and vacuum supply hose.
Connect the EVAP canister purge valve harness connector.
Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.

Removal Procedure
Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve electrical connector.
Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve purge pipe and the vacuum supply hose.
Release the tab on the EVAP canister purge valve mounting bracket and remove the EVAP canister purge valve.
Inspect for carbon release exiting the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to

Installation Procedure
Install the EVAP canister purge valve on the EVAP canister purge valve mounting bracket.
Connect the EVAP canister purge valve purge pipe and the vacuum supply hose.
Connect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector.
Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to
Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 3.8L.
