Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2003 🢒 Regal 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Electrical 🢒 Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement - Left Side

Removal Procedure
  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Refer to Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L.

  3. Remove the left engine mount strut from the left engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side .

    4. Object Number: 35814 Size: SH
  4. Remove the left engine mount strut bracket bolts.
  5. Remove the left engine mount strut bracket from the cylinder head.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 35814 Size: SH
  1. Install the left engine mount strut bracket to the cylinder head.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the left engine mount strut bracket bolts.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount strut bracket bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the left engine mount strut to the left engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side .
  4. Install the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Refer to Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement in Engine Controls - 3.8L.
  5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
