Service VME - HVAC Instrument Panel Fuse No. 10 Failure - kw AC a/c air compressor cruise electrical harness inoperative open heat repeat seat signal turn

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

There have been reports that fuse 10 for Instrument Panel HVAC fuse is open. There has been difficulty in locating the reason for this fuse failure especially on vehicles NOT equipped with heated seats- RPO KA1. During vehicle assembly, the pigtail for the drivers side heated seat switch could have been trapped under the seat frame when the seat was bolted into position. Reference SI Document number 1198273 for a detailed harness schematic of that particular fuse and related components. This condition should not be present after VIN 2G4WS55J041306026 or build date 02/16/04. This is Wayne Zigler, BQM Buick Century and Regal.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
