Note: Section in specified areas only. Sectioning outside of these areas may compromise the structural integrity of the vehicle. The sectioning procedures have been developed as a more cost-effective alternative to complete replacement.

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
3. Repair as much of the damaged area as possible. Refer to Dimensions - Body.
4. Remove all related panels and components.

Remove the headlamp mount panel. Refer to Headlamp Mount Panel Replacement.

5. Remove the sealers and anti-corrosion materials from the repair area, as necessary. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair.




Note: Do not damage any inner panels or reinforcements.

6. Cut out the front wheelhouse front panel.

Note: Note the number and location of the welds for installations of the service part.

7. Locate and drill out all of the necessary factory welds.
8. Remove the damaged front wheelhouse front panel.

1. Prepare new front wheelhouse front panel in the area (1).

6x slots 6x20 mm (0.2x0.8 in).




2. Prepare all attachment surfaces as necessary.
3. Apply bodywork repair through structural adhesive to body. Refer to Structural Adhesive Body Repairs.



4. Position the front wheelhouse front panel.




Note: Refer to Welded, Brazed, and Riveted Joint Specifications.

5. Spot weld the front wheelhouse front panel accordingly.
6. MIG-braze the front wheelhouse front panel.
7. Grind MIG brazed seams.
8. Apply the sealers and anti-corrosion materials to the repair area, as necessary. Refer to Anti-Corrosion Treatment and Repair.
9. Install all related panels and components.

Install the headlamp mount panel. Refer to Headlamp Mount Panel Replacement.

10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
11. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
