J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the rear compartment convenience net, if equipped. Refer to Compartment Convenience Net Replacement - Rear .
3. Remove the lower rear compartment convenience net retainers, if equipped.



4. Remove the rear compartment mat from the rear compartment.



5. Remove the spare tire cover from the rear compartment.
6. Remove the spare tire.
7. Use the J 38778 in order to remove the push-in retainers from the rear compartment trim panel.
8. Slide the trim panels out from under the weatherstrip.
9. Slide each side of the rear compartment trim panel toward the center of the car.
10. Remove the rear compartment trim panels.

Important: The right side of the rear compartment trim panel fits over the left side panel.

1. Install the rear compartment trim panels in the rear compartment.
2. Install the push-in retainers in the rear compartment trim panels.
3. Replace the lower rear compartment convenience net retainers.
4. Install the rear compartment convenience net, if equipped. Refer to Compartment Convenience Net Replacement - Rear .
5. Install the spare tire.
6. Install the spare tire cover.



7. Install the rear compartment mat in the rear compartment.
8. Close the rear compartment.
