Inspect fuse E7-8 located in the fuse block.

Is fuse E7-8 open?

--

Go to Step 3

  1. Replace fuse E7-8.
  2. Open and then close any vehicle door.
  3. Inspect fuse E7-8 again.

Is fuse E7-8 open again?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Inspect the BCM connector for a poor terminal contact. Perform repairs as necessary.
  2. If the BCM connections are OK, replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Repair a short to ground in the following components:

    • Circuit 240
    • Circuit 1732

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 6

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Reinstall the components that were removed. Reconnect the connectors.
