Removal Procedure
- Lower the rear of the headliner. Refer
to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement
in
Interior Trim.
- Remove the rear shelf trim. Refer to
Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Carefully pull the tape and the wiring harnesses away from the
rear window inner upper panel.
- Disconnect the jumper harness from the body wiring harness.
- Disconnect the coaxial cable from the body wiring harness.
- Carefully disconnect the rear window antenna cable jumper from
the rear window antenna connector.
- Remove the antenna amplifier bolt.
- Remove the antenna amplifier.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the antenna
amplifier and the antenna amplifier bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the antenna amplifier bolt to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Connect the rear window antenna cable jumper to the rear window
antenna connector.
- Connect the coaxial cable to the body wiring harness.
- Connect the jumper harness to the body wiring harness.
- Position the wiring harnesses to the rear window inner upper panel.
Secure with tape.
- Install the rear shelf trim. Refer to
Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Install the headliner. Refer to
Headlining Trim Panel Replacement
in Interior Trim.
