Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the rear speaker grille nuts.
  3. Disengage the rear speaker grille retainer from the rear shelf trim panel.
  4. Pull up and out on the rear speaker grille.
  5. Remove the rear speaker grille retainer.
  6. Remove the rear speaker grille.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear speaker grille.
  2. Complete the following steps in order to install the rear speaker grille retainer:
  3. • Align the rear speaker grille to the rear window trim panel.
    • Engage the retainer by pressing the rear speaker grille into the rear shelf trim panel.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the rear speaker grille nuts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear speaker grille nuts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
