Is the door lock actuator of the driver door inoperative?

  1. Disconnect the driver's side door lock actuator motor electrical connector C2.
  2. Connect a test light between the driver's side door lock actuator motor harness connector C2 terminals A and B.
  3. Momentarily press unlock on either door lock switch while observing the test light.

Does the test light flash once?

Are all the passenger doors inoperative?

Use a test light in order to probe between B+ and the BCM connector C3 terminal H.

Is the test light on?

Go to Step 18

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector C2 of the inoperative door lock actuator motor.
  3. Use a test light in order to connect between the inoperative door lock actuator motor harness connector C2 terminals A and B.
  4. While observing the test light, press lock on either door lock switch.

Does the test light flash once while pressing lock?

Replace the driver's side door lock actuator motor.

Is the repair complete?

Connect a test light between B+ and the drivers side door lock actuator motor harness connector terminal B.

Does the test light illuminate?

  1. Disconnect the door lock relay.
  2. Connect a digital multimeter (DMM).
  3. Test for continuity between the door lock relay terminal C1 (relay side) and the actuator connector C2 terminal A.

Is there continuity?

Repair a poor connection or an open in circuit 1450.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Reconnect all of the connectors.
  3. Reinstall any components that were removed.

  1. Use a test light in order to connect by probing between the BCM connector C3 terminal H and ground.
  2. While observing the test light, press unlock momentarily on either door lock switch.

While pressing unlock, does the test light flash?

  1. Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
  2. Perform the Setup New BCM procedure. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.
