Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2. Place the Turn signal switch to the LH ON position.
  3. Place the Turn signal switch to the RH ON position.

Do all of the turn signal lamps operate properly?

Go to Step 3

Go to Turn Signal Lamps and/or Indicators Inoperative

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2. Place the hazard lamp switch to the ON position.

Do all of the turn signal tamps flash on and off?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 4

Inspect the HAZARD fuse.

Is the HAZARD fuse open?

Go to Step 8

Disconnect the turn signal switch.

Using a test lamp connected to a known good ground, probe the battery positive circuit of the hazard warning switch.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 6

Test for a high resistance or an open in the supply voltage circuit of the hazard lamp/turn signal flasher. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 10

Repair a high resistance or an open in the battery positive circuit of the hazard warning switch. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 10

Repair a short to ground in the battery positive circuit of the hazard warning switch or the supply voltage circuit of the hazard lamp/turn signal flasher . Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column - Tilt.

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
