  3. Cover the ambient light sensor.

  1. Remove the inoperative park lamp bulb.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the park lamp supply voltage circuit of the inoperative park lamp connector and a good ground.

Connect a test lamp between the ground circuit of the inoperative park lamp connector and the park lamp supply voltage circuit of the inoperative park lamp connector.

  1. Disconnect the headlamp switch.
  2. Probe the battery positive voltage circuit of the headlamp switch with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Connect the headlamp switch.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch to the PARK position.
  3. Carefully backprobe the park lamp supply voltage circuit of the headlamp switch connector with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Test the park lamps supply voltage circuit of the headlamp position lamps for high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

    • The park lamp supply voltage circuit
