Did you review the Power Windows Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections?

Go to Step 2

Go to Symptoms - Doors

Verify that the inoperative power windows lockout function fault is present.

Does the power windows lockout function operate normally?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

1. Disconnect the LF window switch.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. Probe the power window master switch lockout signal circuit of the LF window switch with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair the short to voltage in the power window master switch lockout signal circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Replace the LF window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

DId you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 6

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
