The body control module (BCM) opens the rear compartment when a release input is received from the remote control door lock receiver, or the rear compartment lid release switch.
The BCM must be commanding the rear compartment lid relay to energize.
The BCM detects a short to ground in the rear compartment lid release relay control circuit.
The BCM stores DTC B3267.
• | A short to ground is no longer detected in the rear compartment lid release relay control circuit. |
• | A history DTC B3267 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if the condition for the malfunction is no longer present. |
• | A scan tool may be used to clear the DTC. |
• | If the DTC B3267 is a history DTC, the fault may be intermittent. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems. |
• | The following conditions may cause an intermittent malfunction to occur: |
- | An intermittent short to ground in the rear compartment lid release relay control circuit. |
- | The BCM is shorted to ground internally. |
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
Listen for the rear compartment lid release relay to operate. Repeat the commands as necessary.
Verifies that the BCM is providing a ground path to the rear compartment lid release relay.
