Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 1999 🢒 Regal (China) (CNG) 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Electrical 🢒 Enabling the SIR System

    Object Number: 217468 Size: SH
  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  2. Connect the passenger yellow 2-way connector located to the right of the steering column.

    3. Object Number: 217465 Size: SH
  3. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the passenger yellow 2-way connector located to the right of the steering column.

    4. Object Number: 217461 Size: SH
  4. Connect the driver yellow 2-way connector located at the base of the steering column.

    5. Object Number: 217456 Size: SH
  5. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the driver yellow 2-way connector located at the base of the steering column.

    6. Object Number: 217453 Size: SH
  6. Install the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulators in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  7. Install the SIR fuse to the fuse block. Refer to Fuse Block in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  8. Install the right Instrument Panel Access Hole Cover.
  9. Staying well away from both air bags, turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
    10. 9.1. The AIR BAG warning lamp will flash seven times.
    9.2. The AIR BAG warning lamp will then turn OFF.
  10. Perform the SIR Diagnostic System Check if the AIR BAG warning lamp does not operate as described.
