Inspect the rear compartment lamp bulb filament for an open.

Is there an open?

Go to Step 4

1. Repair a poor connection or open in ckt 1732.
2. Inspect the system.

Has the repair been made?

Go to Step 11

1. Disconnect the rear compartment lamp electrical connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK position to the RUN position.
3. Connect a test light between the rear compartment lamp harness connector terminal A and ground.

Does the test light illuminate?

1. Disconnect the rear compartment lid ajar switch electrical connector.
2. Connect a test light between the B+ and the rear compartment lid ajar switch harness connector terminal A.

Does the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 7

1. Connect a test light between the B+ and the rear compartment lamp harness connector terminal B.
2. Connect a 10A fused jumper between the rear compartment lid ajar switch harness connector terminals A and B.

Does the test light illuminate?

Repair a poor connection or open in ckt 1732 between the rear compartment lamp and S321.

Has the repair been made?

Repair a poor connection or open in ckt 350.

Has the repair been made?

Replace the rear compartment lid ajar switch.

Has the repair been made?

Repair a poor connection or open in ckt 737.

Has the repair been made?

1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
2. Reconnect the connectors.
3. Reinstall the components.
