Was the BCM Diagnostic System Check performed?

Inspect fuse E7-8 located in the fuse block.

Is fuse E7-8 open?

--

Go to Step 4

  1. Replace fuse E7-8.
  2. Open and then close any vehicle door.
  3. Inspect fuse E7-8 again.

Is fuse E7-8 open again?

--

Go to Step 6

  1. Inspect the BCM connector for a poor terminal contact. Perform repairs as necessary.
  2. If the BCM connections are OK, then replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.
  3. After BCM replacement, perform the Setup New BCM procedure. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.

Repair a short to ground in the following components:

    • Circuit 240
    • Circuit 1732

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Reinstall any disconnected components or connectors.
