This bulletin is being revised to provide updated information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 08-08-44-015 (Section 08 -- Body & Accessories).
Radios and Instrument Panel Clusters (IPCs) have been returned to the Electronic Service Centers (ESCs) and Suppliers with physical damage which makes problem analysis difficult and the root cause impossible to determine. Many of these parts have been
submitted for warranty reimbursement when it is obvious that the damage is not covered under the terms of the GM New Vehicle Warranty.
Additional Information For Claim Submission
Corporate Bulletin Number 05-00-89-055B -- Warranty Administration - GM Dealer Empowerment Program and Goodwill Procedures provides additional information on dealer empowerment and goodwill claim submission.
U.S. Dealers
Navigation Radios for warranty repair are on restriction through the Product Quality Center (PQC). Navigation Radios with physical damage must be reviewed with the District Service Manager for appropriate coverage prior to contacting the PQC. The dealership
must note the District Service Manager's approval on the R.O. along with the reason for the goodwill assistance. Refer to Corporate Bulletin Number 08-08-44-010 for more information.
