Ignition Switch Replacement - On Vehicle for Buick Rendezvous - FWD 2002

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in SIR.
2. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .



3. Pull the theft deterrent control module (2) away from the lock cylinder housing (1) .



4. Simultaneously depress the two white spring loaded ignition switch retainers.
5. Slide the ignition switch downward away from the ignition lock cylinder case.
6. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector from the ignition switch.

1. Connect the ignition switch electrical connector to the ignition switch.



2. Slide the ignition switch into the ignition lock cylinder case.



3. Push the theft deterrent module (2), onto the lock cylinder housing (1) .
4. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
5. Enable the SIR System. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
