Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement Aztek
Removal Procedure
- Remove the screw from the fuel filler pocket.
- Remove the fuel filler cap from the fuel filler neck.
- Remove the fuel filler pocket from the fuel filler neck.
- Remove the fuel filler cap from the fuel filler
pocket by compressing the retainer on the fuel filler cap tether and pulling
through the fuel filler pocket drain hole.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fuel filler cap to the fuel filler
pocket by compressing the retainer on the fuel filler cap tether and pushing
the tether through the fuel filler pocket drain hole.
- Install the fuel filler pocket to the fuel filler
neck, pressing into place until fully seated.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screw
to the fuel filler pocket.
Tighten
Tighten the fuel filler pocket screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the fuel filler cap to the fuel filler neck.

- Remove the fuel filler neck seal from the fuel filler neck.
- Remove the screws from the fuel filler pocket.
- Remove the fuel filler pocket from the fuel filler neck.

- Install the fuel filler pocket to the fuel filler neck, pressing into place until fully seated.
