Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
  2. Drain the washer solvent from the washer solvent container.

  3. Object Number: 774666  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the washer solvent container level sensor electrical connector.

  5. Object Number: 771826  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the rear washer pump electrical connector if equipped.
  7. Disconnect the washer hose from the rear washer pump if equipped.

  8. Object Number: 697664  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the front washer pump electrical connector.
  10. Disconnect the front washer hose from the front washer pump.

  11. Object Number: 697662  Size: SH
  12. Remove the washer solvent container screws.
  13. Remove the washer solvent container from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 697662  Size: SH
  1. Position the washer solvent container to the right side engine compartment.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the washer solvent container screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the washer solvent container level sensor electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 771826  Size: SH
  7. Connect the rear washer pump electrical connector if equipped.
  8. Connect the washer hose to the rear washer pump if equipped.

  9. Object Number: 697664  Size: SH
  10. Connect the front washer pump electrical connector.
  11. Connect the front washer hose to the front washer pump.
  12. Fill the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
  13. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
