Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 621022  Size: SH
  1. Remove the screw from the front of the rocker panel molding.
  2. Remove the top edge of the rocker panel molding by pulling off to release the push-in retainers.
  3. Notice: Use a plastic, flat-bladed tool to prevent paint damage when removing an emblem/name plate.

  4. Release the push-in retainers from the lower rocker panel molding using a small flat-bladed tool inserted between the rocker panel molding and the retainer.
  5. Remove the rocker panel molding from the rocker panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the rocker molding to the holes in the rocker panel.
  2. Install the rocker molding starting to the first net hole (1) then the second net hole (2) and then the third net hole (3). Press the push-in retainers into place until fully seated.
  3. Install the push-in retainers to the lower rocker molding, pressing into place until fully seated.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the rocker molding screw to the rocker molding.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
