Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 786757 Size: SH
  1. Roll the second row seats forward.
  2. Fold the third row seat down.

    3. Object Number: 786759 Size: SH
  3. Open the guide loop covers from the left rear seat belt.

    4. Object Number: 786753 Size: SH
  4. Remove the guide loop bolts from the second and from the third row seat belts.

    5. Object Number: 786752 Size: SH
  5. Remove the upper trim from the second and third row pillars.
  6. Remove the storage compartment. Refer to Rear Storage Compartment Replacement.

    7. Object Number: 786746 Size: SH
  7. Remove the rear liftgate sill.
  8. Remove the cargo tie-down loops from the rear quarter trim.

    9. Object Number: 785378 Size: SH
  9. Pull the top of the quarter trim loose to gain access to the bolts that secure the rear object alarm detection module.
  10. Remove the bolts.
  11. Remove the electrical connector to the module.
  12. Remove the rear object alarm detection module.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 785378 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear object alarm detection module.
  2. Install the electrical connector to the module.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the bolts that secure the rear object alarm detection module.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Secure the top of the quarter trim over the bolts.

  5. Install the cargo tie-down loops from the rear quarter trim.
  6. Install the rear liftgate sill.
  7. Install the storage compartment. Refer to Rear Storage Compartment Replacement.

    8. Object Number: 786752 Size: SH
  8. Install the upper trim from the second and third row pillars.

    9. Object Number: 786753 Size: SH
  9. Install the guide loop bolts from the second and from the third row seat belts.

    10. Object Number: 786759 Size: SH
  10. Close the guide loop covers to the left rear seat belt.

    11. Object Number: 786757 Size: SH
  11. Return the second and the third row seats to their upright positions.
