Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1640582 Size: SH
  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
  2. If replacing the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) foul air tube perform the following steps, remove the engine harness clip from the PCV foul air tube clip.
  3. Remove the PCV foul air tube bolt.
  4. Remove the PCV foul air tube clip.
  5. Remove the PCV foul air tube.

    6. Object Number: 1641072 Size: SH
  6. If replacing the fresh air tube perform the following steps, remove the PCV fresh air tube from the intake air duct.
  7. Remove the PCV fresh air tube from the rocker cover.
  8. Remove the PCV fresh air tube.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1641072 Size: SH
  1. If replacing the fresh air tube perform the following steps, install the PCV fresh air tube.
  2. Install the PCV fresh air tube to the rocker cover.
  3. Install the PCV fresh air tube to the intake air duct.

    4. Object Number: 1640582 Size: SH
  4. If replacing the PCV foul air tube perform the following steps, install the PCV foul air tube.
  5. Install the PCV foul air tube clip.

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Instal the PCV foul air tube bolt.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  7. Install the engine harness clip to the PCV foul air tube clip.
  8. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
