Engine Coolant Outlet Pipe Replacement RPO LY7

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
2. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the coolant outlet pipe.
3. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the coolant outlet pipe.



4. Remove the coolant outlet pipe bolts.
5. Remove the coolant outlet pipe.
6. Remove and discard the coolant outlet pipe O-ring seal.

1. Install a NEW coolant outlet pipe O-ring seal onto the outlet pipe.
2. Install the coolant outlet pipe.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

3. Install the coolant outlet pipe bolts.

Tighten

•	Tighten the outlet pipe to thermostat housing bolt to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

•	Tighten the outlet pipe to engine block bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).




4. Install the radiator outlet hose to the coolant outlet pipe.
5. Position the radiator outlet hose clamp at the coolant outlet pipe.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
