Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1640839 Size: SH
  1. Remove the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side .
  2. Remove the thermostat housing. Refer to Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement .
  3. Remove the engine mount strut/engine lift bracket bolts from the engine, if required.
  4. Remove the engine mount strut/engine lift bracket, if required.

  5. Remove the engine mount strut bracket bolts from the radiator support, if required.
  6. Remove the engine mount strut bracket, if required.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1640844 Size: SH
  1. Position the engine mount strut bracket to the radiator support, if required.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the engine mount strut bracket bolts to the radiator support, if required.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (32 lb ft).

  3. Position the engine mount strut/engine lift bracket to the engine, if required.
  4. Install the engine mount strut/engine lift bracket bolts, if required.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (32 lb ft).

  5. Install the thermostat housing. Refer to Engine Coolant Thermostat Replacement .
  6. Install the engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side .
