Removal Procedure
- Remove the wiper arms.

- Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to
Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Remove the underhood electrical center. Refer to
Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement
in Wiring Systems.
- Remove the cruise control module. Refer to
Cruise Control Module Replacement
in Cruise Control.
- Disconnect the wiper motor cover electrical connector.
- Remove the wiper system drive module bolts.
- Remove the wiper system drive module from the engine compartment.
Installation Procedure
- Position the wiper system
drive module to the cowl.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the wiper system drive module bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Connect the wiper motor cover electrical connector.
- Install the cruise control module and bracket. Refer to
Cruise Control Module Replacement
in Cruise Control.
- Install the underhood electrical center. Refer to
Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement
in Wiring Systems.
- Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to
Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement
in Body Front End.
- Install the wiper arms. Refer to
Windshield Wiper Arm Replacement
.
