Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1641065 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (3) from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve.
  2. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  3. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt .
  4. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve and insulator.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1641079 Size: SH
  1. Position the EVAP canister purge valve and insulator to the intake manifold.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the EVAP canister purge valve bolt .

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  3. Connect the EVAP canister purge pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (3) to the EVAP canister purge valve.
