8-Digit GM Part Number: The scan tool displays the GM eight digit part number of the instrument panel cluster (IPC).

Air Bag Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the air bag lamp as commanded by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM).

Ambient Temperature: The scan tool displays 0-100°C. The measured temperature from the ambient outside air temperature sensor to the IPC.

Antilock Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the antilock lamp as commanded by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the electronic brake control module (EBCM).

Brake Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the brake lamp as commanded by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the body control module (BCM).

Cruise Control Active: The scan tool displays Yes or No. The state of the cruise control indicator as commanded by the ECM.

Cruise Lamp: The scan tool displays On or Off. The state of the cruise control indicator as commanded by the ECM/powertrain control module (PCM).

Current Gear: The scan tool displays the current gear of the vehicle. This is the state of the PRNDL range as communicated to the IPC by the ECM. The value of this data corresponds to the PRNDL display.

DIC Mode Button: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the DIC mode button detected by the IPC from the DIC switch (low input).

DIC Reset Button: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the DIC reset button detected by the IPC from the DIC switch (low input).

Door Ajar Switches: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. The body control module (BCM) monitors the signal circuit of the door ajar switches. An open switch is displayed as Active with the door open.

Driver Door Open Switch: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. The BCM monitors the signal circuit of the driver door open switch. An open switch is displayed as Active with the door open.

ECT Sensor: The scan tool displays -39 to +140°C (-38 to +284°F). This is the engine coolant temperature as monitored by the ECM/PCM. The voltage is inversely proportional to the engine coolant temperature.

Engine Oil Level Switch: The scan tool displays OK/Low. The PCM monitors the signal circuit of the engine oil level switch, where an open switch is displayed as Low (low engine oil level).

Engine Oil Pressure Sensor: The scan tool displays 0-5 volts. The ECM monitors the engine oil pressure sensor signal circuit where a low voltage indicates low pressure.

Engine Oil Pressure Sensor: The scan tool displays pressure in kPa (psi). The ECM monitors the engine oil pressure sensor signal circuit.

Engine Oil Pressure Switch: The scan tool displays OK/Low. The PCM monitors the signal circuit of the engine oil pressure switch, where an open switch is displayed as OK.

Engine Speed: The scan tool displays 0- 9999 RPM. The IPC receives the engine speed from the ECM/PCM via the engine speed signal circuit.

Fuel Level Sensor: The scan tool displays 0-5 volts. The ECM/PCM monitors the fuel level sensor signal circuit where 0 volts is an empty tank.

Fuel Pump Relay Command: The scan tool displays On or Off. The state of the fuel pump as commanded by the PCM.

Fuel Tank Level Remaining: The scan tool displays gallons (liters). This is the amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank as determined by the ECM.

Fuel Tank Level Remaining: The scan tool displays 0-100%. The scan tool displays in percentage the amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank as determined by the PCM.

Headlamp Switch:  The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. The BCM monitors the signal circuit of the headlamp switch. A closed switch is displayed as Active.

High Beam Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the high beam lamp as commanded by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the BCM.

Ignition 0: The scan tool displays 0-25.5 volts. The voltage measured from the ignition 0 positive voltage circuit at the IPC.

Ignition 0: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the ignition 0 positive voltage circuit detected by the IPC when the ignition is turned ON.

Ignition 0: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. The state of the ignition 0 voltage circuit as monitored by the BCM.

Ignition 0 Signal: The scan tool displays On or Off. The state of the ignition 0 voltage circuit as monitored by the ECM.

Ignition 1: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. The state of the ignition 1 voltage circuit as monitored by the BCM.

Ignition 1 Signal: The scan tool displays On or Off. The state of the ignition 1 voltage circuit as monitored by the ECM.

Ignition 1 Signal: The scan tool displays 0-16 V. The ignition 1 signal represents the system voltage detected by the ECM/PCM at the ignition voltage circuit.

Key In Ignition: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. When the key is in the ignition switch, the scan tool will display Active.

Left Turn Signal: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of left turn signal input detected by the IPC from the turn hazard flasher (high input). The indicator turns on when the switch is closed.

Liftgate Ajar Switch: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. The BCM monitors the signal circuit of the liftgate ajar switch. An open switch is displayed as Active with the gate open.

Low Brake Fluid: The scan tool displays OK/Low. The state of the low brake fluid input detected by the IPC from the brake fluid switch (low input).

Low Coolant Level: The scan tool displays OK/Low. The state of the low coolant level input detected by the IPC from the engine coolant level sensor (low input).

Low Washer Fluid: The scan tool displays OK/Low. The state of the low washer fluid input detected by the IPC from the washer fluid switch (low input).

MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) Command: The scan tool displays On or Off. This is the commanded state of the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) by the ECM/PCM.

MIL Circuit History: The scan tool displays OK, Open, Short, or Invalid State. This is the state of the MIL signal circuit as monitored by the PCM.

MIL Circuit Status: The scan tool displays OK, Fault or Invalid State. This is the status of the MIL signal circuit as monitored by the PCM.

Odometer: The scan tool displays 0-999999.9 miles. The IPC calculates the mileage to determine the odometer value.

PROM ID: The scan tool displays the four digit number of the PROM incorporated into the IPC.

Park Brake Switch:  The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. The BCM monitors the signal circuit of the park brake switch. A closed switch is displayed as Active.

Parklamp Switch: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. The BCM monitors the signal circuit of the parklamp switch. A closed switch is displayed as Active.

Reduced Engine Power: The scan tool displays Inactive or Active. This is the state of the Reduced Engine Power indicator as monitored by the ECM.

Revision Level: The scan tool displays the revision level of the software in the IPC.

Right Turn Signal: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of right turn signal input detected by the IPC from the turn hazard flasher (high input). The indicator turns on when the switch is closed.

Seat Belt Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the seat belt lamp as commanded by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the SDM.

Software Release Level: The scan tool displays the original release level of the software in the IPC.

TCS Off Lamp: The scan tool displays On/Off. The state of the TCS off lamp as commanded by the IPC. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the EBCM.

Traction Control Status: The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. This is the state of the traction control as commanded by the PCM.

Trip Odometer Reset: The scan tool displays On/Released. The state of trip odometer reset switch detected by the IPC from the internal trip odometer reset switch.

Vehicle Speed Sensor: The scan tool displays 0-255 km/h (0-159 mph). The IPC obtains vehicle speed data from the PCM on a dedicated input. The PCM is responsible for calculating correct vehicle speed data.

Vehicle Speed Circuit History: The scan tool displays OK, Open, Short, or Invalid State. This is the state of the vehicle speed signal circuit as monitored by the PCM.

Vehicle Speed Circuit Status: The scan tool displays OK, Fault or Invalid State. This is the status of the vehicle speed signal circuit as monitored by the PCM.
