Removal Procedure

    Notice: The wheels of the vehicle must be straight ahead and the steering column in the LOCK position before disconnecting the steering column or intermediate shaft from the steering gear. Failure to do so will cause the SIR coil assembly to become uncentered, which may cause damage to the coil assembly.

  1. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
  2. Disconnect all the electrical connectors.

    3. Object Number: 322946 Size: SH
  3. Remove all the wire harness straps (2) and the wire harness (1) from the steering column.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 322946 Size: SH
  1. Install all the wire harness straps (2) and the wire harness (1) to the steering column.
  2. Connect all the electrical connectors.
  3. Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
