Unable to Scan XM Presets from SWC - keywords controls DRR receiver stations steering U2K UC6 wheel xmradio

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some Buick Rendezvous customers may report they are unable to scan through their preset XM radio station with the Steering Wheel Controls (SWC) after a radio replacement. If the Radio set-up procedure is not completed as a MY06 and/or the incorrect radio is selected, this condition will occur.

Important Note: The Tech 2® must be updated with software version 26.003 or greater and following the below listed path.

Diagnostics " (3) Model Year (2006) " LD Trk, MPV, Incomplete " Make " Line " Body " Automatic or Manual A/C " Radio " Special function " Radio Setup" UC6 or OTHER (select correct radio type) " Cycle the ignition.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
