Circuit/System Description
The compass module is internal to the instrument panel cluster (IPC). The IPC displays the compass information in the driver information center (DIC). The DIC display for the compass will be blank if there is an internal fault in the IPC.

Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition ON, compass ON, verify that there is a compass reading on the DIC display.
- Verify that the compass reading on the DIC display is correct.
- If the display is still incorrect, replace the IPC.

| ⇒ | If the display shows the letter C or CAL, perform the compass calibration procedure. Refer to Electronic Compass Calibration . |
