Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
3. Remove the power steering pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement .

Power Steering Pump Bolt (Qty: 3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
34 N·m (25 lb ft)

Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Fitting

Tip
Discard the O-ring seal and use a NEW O-ring seal prior to installation.

Tighten
27 N·m (20 lb ft)

Power Steering Pump Inlet Pipe/Hose

Tip
Compress the clamp and disconnect the power steering pump inlet pipe/hose from the reservoir.

Tip
After installation, fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
