Removal Procedure

    Important: A new sunroof module assembly will not have the sunroof window or the sunshade as components of the new service part.

  1. The old sunroof window and sunshade will need to be installed to the new sunroof module assembly.

  2. Object Number: 741357  Size: SH
  3. Remove the sunroof sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement.
  4. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the sunroof module assembly.
  6. Disconnect the front and rear drain hoses from the sunroof module.
  7. Have an assistant support the sunroof module before removing the bolts.
  8. Remove the bolts from the sunroof module.
  9. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle roof with an assistant.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the sunroof module to the vehicle roof with an assistant.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the sunroof module bolts to the sunroof module.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof module bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the front and rear drain hoses to the sunroof module.
  6. Connect the electrical connector to the sunroof module assembly.
  7. Inspect for proper operation of the sunroof.
  8. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement.
  9. Install the sunroof sunshade. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Replacement.
