LATE UPSHIFT/325 TRANSMISSION DIAGNOSIS INFORMATION

BEGINNING EARLY SEPTEMBER, 1981, ALL 1982 THM 325-4L T.V. LEVER AND BRACKET ASSEMBLIES WERE BUILT WITH A NEW DESIGN PIN. SEE FIGURE 1. IF THE PAST DESIGN PIN CONTACTS THE VALVE BODY IT COULD CAUSE THE T.V. LEVER AND BRACKET TO BIND, RESULTING IN HIGHER LINE PRESSURE AND LATE UPSHIFTS. IF REMOVAL OF A PAST DESIGN T.V. LEVER AND BRACKET IS NECESSARY, DUE TO PIN INTERFERENCE, REPLACE IT WITH PART NUMBER 8635549.
