TORQUE ROD ADJUSTMENT SERVICE PROCEDURE

SHOULD IT BECOME NECESSARY TO ADJUST THE TORQUE RODS ON A LATE MODEL RIVIERA THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE MAY BE USED... 1. REMOVE THE REAR COMPARTMENT LID AND REAR COMPARTMENT FRONT PANEL AS OUTLINED IN SECTION 7, PAGE 7-9 OF THE 1983 FISHER SERVICE MANUAL. 2. USING VICE GRIP PLIERS (SEE FIGURE 1) DISENGAGE LEFT TORQUE ROD END FROM RIGHT HINGE ASSEMBLY. 3. REPOSITION LEFT END OF TORQUE ROD IN UPPER LOCATION AND REENGAGE END OF TORQUE ROD IN RIGHT HINGE ASSEMBLY. 4. REPEAT STEPS 2 AND 3 ON RIGHT TORQUE ROD, LEFT HINGE. 5. INSTALL DECK LID AND CHECK FOR PROPER OPERATION.
