TORN INTERIOR QUARTER TRIM REPAIR RECLINER MECHANISM

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1982-84 Riviera Convertible With Power Seat Back Recliner (A80 & A81)

We have heard that the stop in the recliner mechanism may be missing on some Riviera convertibles equipped with a driver (A80) and/or a passenger (A81) power seat back recliner. The stop restricts the seat back travel and prevents interference with the rear seat quarter arm rest trim when the seat back is in the full down and back position. If this condition is experienced, it can be repaired by replacing the recliner mechanism and repairing the trim.
