HIGH EFFORT TO OPEN REAR COMPARTMENT LID

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1988 "E" CARS ------------------

Some early built 1988 Reattas may require a high effort to lift the rear compartment lid. This condition can be corrected by installing new supports (2 required), Part Number 20721751.

The following information will help in identifying the first and second designs:

The second design support must be mounted in an inverted position from the original first design support. See Figures 1 and 2 for correct mounting positions.
