H/LAMP ACTUATOR CONTROL MODULE PARTS SYSTEM ERROR (NEW P/N)

SUBJECT: HEADLAMP ACTUATOR CONTROL MODULE-PARTS SYSTEM ERROR

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990-91 E

Headlamp actuator control module part number 16509097 was incorrectly superseded to 16514174 for 1990 and 1991 Toronados and Trofeos.

When servicing the headlamp actuator control module on 1990-1991 Toronados/Trofeos, use P/N 16509097. The parts book is being corrected.

o The 16514174 is for a Pontiac Firebird application and has not been released for use on Toronados/Trofeos.

o The 16514174 module is similar in appearance to the 16509097 module and may appear to function when initially installed.

o All 1990 and 1991 Toronados/Trofeos were built with 16509097 modules and should be serviced with that part number.
